I travel the world and look to capture detailed scenes for people to see as if they were there.

As the years pass, I aim to capture evermore resolution, finally breaking the gigapixel barrier last year 💪

I've always wanted to display my ultra high resolution images in a way that really did them justice. Uploading them to Instagram or any other social media would defeat their purpose.

The goal is to combine a fun gallery to see the full list of pictures (the globe) and a panorama viewer to see each individual image without any loss of quality!

My goal is to reach the 100 Gigapixel mark:
100 000 Megapixels, 1000x more resolution than the highest resolution consumer camera (that I now own 😎).

Capture on location

Capture on location

Instead of capturing a single shot when I'm on location, I use a telephoto lens and capture multiple images that I then stitch together with special software to create a panorama.

To display such high resolution images, a special panorama viewer is used.

The viewer first cuts the image into bite-sized chunks, each chunk destined to be used at a specific zoom level. You see, there is no point in displaying more resolution than necessary: your screen and eyes can only see a certain amount, anything extra is "wasted".

By displaying the correct resolution for any zoom level, the computer or website doesn't struggle like it would, were it to try and display everything all at once!
